Dr. Abdulmonem Alsaleh has completed his PhD degree on December 2018 from the University of Otago, New Zealand. His PhD project was focused on identifying the fetal cell of origin for childhood acute lymphoblastic leukaemia using DNA methylation approach. Dr. Abdulmonem is interested in epigenetics (DNA methylation), cancer & molecular biology, haematology and bioinformatics. After PhD, he was assigned as an Assistant Professor at Mohammed Al-Mana College for Medical Sciences (MACHS) and on 2021 he was promoted to deputy head of Medical Laboratory Department. Dr. Abdulmonem is a registered Senior Specialist of Molecular Genetics from the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties. Dr. Abdulmonem chaired and participated in many academic & professional committees at MACHS including establishing and chairing an Intellectual Property and Technology Transfer Committee. Recently, Dr. Abdulmonem joined King Abdullah International Medical Research Centre (KAIMRC) on a postdoctoral position. Dr. Abdulmonem is an active researcher and has a good track of research publication (published papers = 25; bioinformatics tools = 1; h-index = 6).
